England 3 Mexico 1

Unconvincing, not aggressive enough, allowed too much time on the ball those Mexicans. Some of the things shouted out whilst watching this friendly which struggled to entertain at times and was in fairness awash with errors.

Good performances from Glen Johnson, Peter Crouch, Joe Hart and Robert Green but indifferent efforts from Carrick, Rooney, Gerrard, King mixed up with poor performances from Baines and Ferdinand and Cappello is now left with more questions than answers.

England played counter attack football and were lucky Mexico didn't punish as they should have done on many occasions.

England Goals: King 17, Crouch 35, Glen Johnson 47.

Mexico Goal: Franco 45.

Att : 88,638

Ref Watch - Masaaki Toma (Japan).
Gave Mexico two yellow cards when the rules state ' a player who is through on goal and is fouled should be sent off'. Denied Adam Johnson a clear penalty when his shirt was pulled in the area. I know this was just a friendly but I prey he does not go to the World Cup. A disgrace.
